Theme, Design & Gameplay
The grid for Tiki Beats is within the jungle, with different Tiki iconographies such as pillars and Tiki people playing a light drum beat. My worry going into this game would be a soundtrack that would saturate everything and force me to mute. Still, I was pleasantly surprised that the soundtrack complemented the gameplay just nicely. It wasn’t too domineering, and even when it did ramp up when I got wins, it was welcoming to hear.
The graphics are of excellent quality, and the grid itself is dynamic and colourful. The reels are made of bamboo pipes, and whenever you spin, they jump and move as the new symbols make their way to the grid. The low-paying symbols are standard royals, starting from 9 through to A. Land 5 A’s, and it will payout 300. The high-paying symbols are different Tiki heads in colours purple, blue, green and red. Red Tiki head is the highest paying symbol, paying out 5000 if you are lucky to land 5 on the reel. The wild symbol has a golden backdrop and multi-coloured text saying WILD across it. Finally, there are two scatter symbols. One of them is the TikiGold Scatter symbol that will substitute for all symbols except the scatter TikiChief symbol.
